WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, the Centre for Voters Initiative & Action launched an online voter outreach campaign across Northern Virginia. The aim of the project is to empower young citizens in the Washington Metropolitan Area by encouraging voter efficacy.

Specifically, the video delves into the perspectives of nine diverse secondary school students, each who recall their own tales about the electoral system. Compiled together, the video blends harmoniously in a mosaic-style to represent the critical nature of youths in shaping the future of politics.

The video will be made available across multiple social media platforms with immense paid advertising: platforms include Meta (Instagram, Facebook) and Google (Ads, YouTube). In pursuit of the Centre’s vision to foster a world of youth civic engagement, this video campaign will be a massive push in the public space by connecting with youths in the platforms they use most.

For context, this public diplomacy project was created under the mandate of the Lilyan & Abe Spero Memorial Fund, a grant available to organisations seeking to involve youths in the public affairs process. Film production was conducted over a weekend period, led by the Centre’s Assistant Director Ms. Eleanor Liang.
